| The use of a brisket board
has become more important to position the cow
whilst lying down, to control soiling of the
bed. IAE offer an adjustable bracket for use
with Super Comfort Cow Cubicles, which will take
a timber board. When using a timber board it
should be positioned approximately equal to the
animals diagonal body length (as shown in fig
2). This is approximately 1775mm for a 800kg
plus mature Friesian / Holstein cow. The use of
a brisket board also allows the head rail to be
moved further forward to give greater access (as
shown in fig 3). |
