Compact unit using 2 D cell
batteries
-
Ideal for horses and small paddocks.
Hangs on fence
-
This modern design battery
unit is ideally suited for the
equestrian market. It is perfect
for paddock fencing or strip
grazing. The Shrike hangs
conveniently on the fence line.
Place the unit between 2 posts
placed closely together to
prevent the unit being blown
along the fence line. The Shrike
works off 2 “D” cell batteries,
which will last approximately 8
weeks, 24 hrs a day. There is an
On/Off switch plus an LED to
indicate that the unit is
working. Batteries are not
supplied.

Portable 6v Fencer
-
Ideal for strip grazing
-
This unit should be used on
short runs of fencing up to
about 500m in length and is
suitable for most day to day
farm uses including strip
grazing dairy cattle, silage
face control, or paddock fencing
for horses. The P1 Kestrel is
designed to operate from
disposable 6v PP8 type batteries
(see product code on page 22).
The Batteries will last
approximately three months when
used 24hrs a day. The batteries
are housed within the fencing
unit making it extremely
portable and easy to move. The
unit is self-earthing by way of
the metal feet which support the
unit. Only in extremely dry
conditions is an independent
earth stake required. The P1
Kestrel is easy to use. After
connecting the RED crocodile
clip securely to the fencing
wire and the BLACK clip to the
metal stand, press the metal
stand firmly into the ground and
switch on the unit. The LED will
indicate that the fencer is
working correctly. The condition
of the fence can be checked with
a Hotline neon fence tester or
volt meter (page 20).

Portable 9v Fencer (55amp/hr)
-
Strip grazing etc, or 6/8 nets
-
This unit should be used on
short runs of fencing up to
about 500m in length and is
suitable for strip grazing dairy
cattle, or paddock fencing for
horses. The P200 runs from a 45
amp/hr 9v (8.4v) disposable
battery (product code P31) which
will last approximately 3
months, depending on how long
the unit is used on 'high/low'
output. The Fencing unit is
earthed by attaching the earth
lead to the metal feet of the
fencer.

6/9/12v Batteries
-
Ideal for small farmers
-
This unit is ideal for strip
grazing cattle, horse paddock
fencing, using with 8-10
electrified sheep nets and
protecting pheasant pens. The
P250 Merlin can use any voltage
of rechargeable battery from 6v
- 12v, although the unit's most
efficient when working on a 12v
leisure battery. The Amp/hr
rating of the battery will
determine the charging interval,
for example a 55amp/kr battery
will require charging
approximately every six weeks.
If necessary 6v or 9v batteries
can be used while the main
battery is being recharged. As
tile battery for the P250 Merlin
is placed outside the fencing
unit, ensure that all the leads
are connected correctly to the
battery, earth stake and fence
line. A single ground spike
supports the fencer. This
provides a suitable earth on
short lengths of fencing wire
but on longer runs over 300m an
independent earthing stake
should be used

Portable 9v Fencer (90amp/hr)
-
De-Luxe
strip grazer etc, or 6/8 nets
-
The P300 Super Hawk is
designed to be used for strip
grazing cattle, paddock fencing
for horses and also for use with
3 or 4 rolls oŁ electrified
sheep netting. The P300 Super
Hawk uses a 9v (8.4v) 9Oamp/hr
disposable battery (product code
P32) which lasts approximately 5
months on ‘high’ output and 6
months on 'low' output when used
24hrs/day. An independent earth
stake, rather than the
supporting metal feet, may be
required with this unit if long
fencing lengths are used in very
dry conditions.

6/12v Fencer, automatic changeover
-
Ideal for horses
-
The P350 Pegasus uses either
4 ‘D' type disposable batteries
internally, or a 12v
rechargeable leisure battery
externally. If internal
batteries are fitted as well as
the 12v external battery, the
P350 Pegasus Fencing unit will
run off the l2v battery until
the battery level becomes too
low to power the unit. It will
then switch over automatically
to run on the internal
batteries. The 4 'D’ cell type
batteries will last for about 4
weeks when used 24hrs/day. The
12v leisure battery will require
charging after about 12 weeks of
continuous use.

12v
medium power Fencer unit
-
This unit is ideal for small
farm general use, horse paddock
fencing and protecting pheasant
pens. The P450 Hobby is powered
by a 12v rechargeable leisure
battery. The Amp/hr rating of
the battery will determine the
charging interval, for example a
55 amp/hr battery will require
charging approximately every 10
weeks. The battery is placed
outside the fencing unit, ensure
that all the leads are connected
correctly to the battery, earth
stake and fence line. The LED
will flash GREEN when the unit
is working correctly, but will
change to RED when the battery
requires re-charging. A buzzer
will sound if the battery
terminals are connected
incorrectly.

12v
high power Fencer unit
-
Nets, 3 reel systems and where mains
power is not available
-
This hi-powered unit is
suitable for all farm uses where
mains power is not available. It
is ideal for sheep - up to 20
electrified sheep nets,
protecting crops from rabbit
infestation - up to 12 lengths
of electrified rabbit netting,
pigs, poultry and cattle (beef &
dairy). The P500 Falcon has two
output levels and is powered by
a 12v rechargeable leisure
battery. The Amp/hr rating of
the battery will determine the
charging interval. For example,
a 75 amp/hr battery will require
charging every 3 weeks. As the
unit is designed to he used on
long lengths of fencing, an
earth stake at least 1m in
length must be used. If animals
are being fenced 'in' for the
first time, the fencing unit
should he set to ‘high’ for
about seven days. This allows
the animals time to get
accustomed to and respect the
fence line. After this initial
period the fencing unit can be
switched to ‘low’ to conserve
battery life. If the electric
fencer is being used to keep
animals ‘out’ from an area, then
the unit should always be
switched to the 'high' output
position. The LED will flash
GREEN when the unit is working
correctly. It will change to RED
when the battery requires
re-charging. A buzzer will sound
if the battery terminals are
connected incorrectly.

12v
super power Fencer (100amp/hr
battery)
-
All
farm uses where mains is not
available
-
The P525 Buzzard is
recommended for use on long
boundary fencing applications
where it is not possible to use
a 22Ov mains electricity unit.
As long distances of fencing are
frequently used with the P525
Buzzard, more than one earth
stake may be required for
effective operation. Ideal for
all farm uses, 3 reel and
netting systems. The P525
Buzzard is a very powerful
battery fencer with two levels
of output. A rechargeable
battery of at least 100amp/hr is
therefore required. Recharging
will be required every two
weeks.
